About Sebastian Treese Architekten International
Founded in 2024 as a natural extension of Sebastian Treese Architekten, STA International operates from Berlin on a global scale, collaborating with an international team of architects and urban designers on projects across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.
STA International’s work is defined by a multidisciplinary approach across a wide range of scales. The practice develops urban masterplans for new city districts as well as revitalization strategies for existing neighborhoods, designs landscapes and public spaces, and creates architectural proposals across diverse typologies.
The firm was established by Julia Treese, who—together with her team—continues and expands the architectural ethos of Sebastian Treese Architekten. This ethos is rooted in a deep engagement with history and its translation into contemporary architecture that is shaped by local identity and context. Through intensive research into the history, culture, and character of each place, STA International develops innovative projects that remain closely connected to their surroundings and draw on the richness and diversity of global cultures.
Guided by a commitment to architectural plurality, STA International strives to contribute to a globalizing world with creativity, curiosity, and professional rigor. The studio aims to create places that form meaningful bridges between past and future, generating built environments that honor the diversity and identity of each location.
